2010 Health and Wellbeing Programmes are initiated

The American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) funds the first health and well-being programme for the children and a series of discussion programmes with their parents on nutritional and health needs of children. The Sri Lanka Medical Association of North America [SLMANA] awards a two year grant providing pharmaceutical drugs such as multi-vitamins, iron tablets and worming treatment for the children. Health screening for children and mothers and advice for pregnant mothers are included. Dental clinics and Eye camps are introduced.
