Rohan de Saram Tribute Recital

The Tribute Recital by the principal members of the Chamber Music Society of Colombo held in honour of the late Rohan de Saram at the Goethe-Institute Hall was an evening to remember. Ruben Jeyasundaram, cello, Johan Pieris, piano, Lakshman Joseph – de Saram, violin, Sulara Nanaykkara, violin and Avanti Perera, viola with their outstanding performance paid a wonderful tribute to a great cellist.

Rohan de Saram who passed away on the 29 September 2024 was one of the world’s most distinguished cellists, known for his remarkable contribution to classical and contemporary music.

A garden party followed the performance.

The Sunera Foundation, The Sunshine Charity and the Sunethra Bandaranaike Trust appreciate and say thank you to the Chamber Music Society of Colombo for the evening. had a visit from Santa, who stopped by to present each child with a goody bag. We thank our generous donors for so kindly supporting this initiative.
